Along with pursuing her love for dance, she was also a diligent sixth-grade student at Perry Middle School. Her dedication to both her academic and artistic pursuits was truly admirable. It is a sad fact that she left the world too soon, yet her memory and spirit will always remain alive in the hearts of those who knew her.

Perry Middle School student Elia Barbon, just 11 years old, tragically passed away on 2nd April 2023, Tuesday morning after being involved in a car accident in North Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place at the intersection of North High Street and Lazelle Road at approximately 6:30 am.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred between a Kia and a tractor-trailer, leaving two others injured besides Elia. It is with great sadness that we share this news of Elia’s passing, as she was also a talented dancer at the Cutting Edge Dance Center.

Police Investigation of the Incident:
A recent incident has caught the attention of police authorities after receiving reports of a fatal collision between a Kia and a tractor-trailer at an intersection. Sadly, the victim of the accident, Elia Barbon from Columbus, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene. While both drivers involved in the crash were brought to Riverside Methodist Hospital, they have since been declared stable.
The tragedy has hit close to home for Worthington Schools, as the student who lost their life was identified as a sixth-grade attendee at Perry Middle School, and their stepmother is an employee of the district.
