It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Alden Norell, best known for his role as “Admiral” in the hit television series “Emergency!” Norell, who had a long and respected career in both television and film, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023, at the age of 85, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

Michael Alden Norell was a versatile American talent who achieved success as a screenwriter, actor, and executive producer. Best known for his portrayal of Captain Henry “Hank” Stanley in the iconic television series Emergency! from 1972 to 1978, Norell also had a talent for writing. He wrote four episodes of the beloved show, launching his career as a screenwriter.
Prior to joining the entertainment industry, Norell spent time in the Army, where he rose to the rank of captain. Upon leaving the military, he worked for the Richmond Times-Dispatch before eventually making his way to New York City to pursue acting. It wasn’t long before he found his way to Hollywood, where he secured the part of Captain Henry “Hank” Stanley, cementing his place in the annals of television history.

Michael Mike Norell the renowned screenwriter, actor, and producer sadly passed away on 12th May 2023. He was 85 years old at the time of his passing, his demise was announced on social media portals although no real cause of death has been shared nu his family or loved ones. Although he underwent heart surgery before ay age of 79 years which led him into coma. He further spent 7 years of his life in medical care and with his family.
