The cause of Rebecca Ball’s death was not initially disclosed, as the medical examiner was yet to perform the autopsy. However, the authorities confirmed that her death was not considered suspicious. Police and search teams performed an extensive search that involved K-9 units and unmanned aircraft systems. The canine search team found Rebecca’s body in a wooded area in Weybridge, close to where she was last seen in Wright Park in Middlebury, around 4 p.m. on March 29. Her family, friends, and community mourned her passing and were grateful for the outpouring of support they had received during the search.
