Tragically, news of a fatal shooting at the tent community located on Wolfe Street in Peterborough, Ontario has made headlines.
In the early hours of Friday morning, city police were alerted to the sound of gunshots in the area and quickly responded. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a woman who had been shot and promptly transported her to Peterborough Regional Health Centre in an effort to save her life. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the woman was ultimately pronounced dead.
