Phillip Dancy was a distinguished clergyman who served as the Pastor of Sylvania Church in Tyler, Texas. He was a bright and accomplished individual who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in English from the University of Memphis in 2000, followed by a Master of Divinity in Church History and Theology from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003, and a PhD in Church History with a secondary focus in Theology from the same institution in 2007.
Phillip was known for his dedication to his family and community, and he was a loving husband to his dear friend and wife Amanda, with whom he was blessed with three lively boys. Phillip was a true inspiration to many, illustrating that hard work, humility, and a joyful heart could positively impact the lives of those around him.
